Browning 525 gun fit

My uncle has just given me his 525 and went out yesterday and have found it dosnt fit me :look: :lol::P i have to lift my head just 5mm to be perfect i know this dosnt sound alot but when you shoot a box of 30 grams it takes its toll i dont want one of them rubber pads and i just wondered if any of you know any other equipment on how to make the gun fit can the stock be move etc

You have 3 choices AFAIK - one, rubber pad. Two, Beartooth comb raiser. Three, pay someone to bend the wood for you.

 

Or 4 have someone make the existing stock into an adjustable comb? If it's a nice gun and you got it for free then it might be worth spending the money?

Where are you based?

 

Never been keen on having wood bent but some good gun stock workers can just re head the stock.

 

My local shop does this for £50 which includes any cast alterations as well (Eastern Sporting in Essex).

 

If you can find a good gun smiths who can do a fit, it is a simple job and cheap enough.
