Si-Bore
Hi guys For the first time I can remember the farmer local to me has planted beans. My friend shot the field 2 days ago (it is just germinating). The birds came in like they were obsessed. The best I have ever seen pigeons decoy. Not having shot beans before I would like some advice on when they shoot best i.e. once the leaves are out and to how tall they still decoy into the crop (is it similar to rape in that sense?), Also at harvest time is it productive like rape ad barley etc? Thanks, Si
Beardo
i've only really had good days on beans once they are harvested - you can shoot the stubble for a decent amount of time.
kaiser1977
I have been watching 6 fields of beans, and I have only ever seen pigeons flying over them never actually feeding on them, so i'm hoping when harvest comes they hit them hard ! Popgun
I've shot a lot of pigeons on beans when there drilled then when they first break the surface then on the stubble for a few days it's a good crop to shoot over.
