Guest cookoff013
i`d like to know a little more about it too. is it sintered? with a matrix? is it soft? choke friendly? it says needs a full shotcup, does it need a tungsten shotcup or a multimetal type? or just a lead one will do? UK fowler
at £120 for 2.5 kg its not a punt gunners best freind yes it is sintered and its harder than steel .when charlton first got this stuff in he had no data but said it would load like for like as hevishot . the loads useing longshot powder are very good he now has his own data for csbo and 381 m92s some are ok some are just to fast imo they pattern poorly which defeats the object of such dense pellets .yes it does kill well shot canadas with the 3.5mm and it holds a tight pattern if the load is right is it worth £

Guest cookoff013
also i`ve heard yankies, have used this. they recomended as an extra layer of protection, a teflon sheet wrapped around the inner wad, samwiched between the two wads. juss a thought. starlight32
I have used rakes of it and it is good. I was using 60g in a 10g and 50g in a 12g 3 1/2" load but that was getting expensive and a big overkill even on geese. I have thinned its use down to a 2 3/4" 32g load which I find pretty stunning and more than fit for purpose. There is a guy in my club who has a serious shoulder injury so he is was faced with being confined to using a 28g. He went for with power shot in his 28g and I have to admit I was a little sceptical at first, but he has proved me and many others surely wrong. Seen him make many clean kills with the power shot/28g combination.
Guest cookoff013
with all these nontoxic shot, shotsize selection is evermore important. what shotsize should powershot be? for geese and light inland duck? the next thing i might try is ITX. just because its soft. shakin stevens
tried power shot two year ago very good but expensive, no point loading it heavy go for light loads with this stuff, i used it on the foreshore, even picked it out of geese and it was perfect to reload again! now on the itx in my old guns check out the usa results it sounds good regards rob. UK fowler
if your after power shot you only have the choice of 3mm 3.5mm and 4mm . the 3.5mm is more than enough for geese 3.25mm would be a good heavy duck light goose size giving good pellet count and good foot pound but is not sold loose the 3.5mm can loose pellet count at long range on duck and the 3mm ?not shot that at geese so cant say if your looking into itx check out load of the week on bpi web site there is some good loads on there for 10g and 12g if your thinking of trying some go for the #2 -3.8mm had good results with this more so than the bb -4.6mm though they did the job on canadas there a bit big for 90% of wildfowl good loading uk fowler
