Hotshotnot
Other than the obvious visual/pyhsical differences what is the difference between flush fitting and extended chokes. Is there a difference in performance and/or purpose. Which is best? Cheers
VicW
I have tested same make flush and extended chokes and performance wise there was no difference. The advantages of extended chokes are: they are much quicker to change as you don't need a key, it is easy to see what choke/s are fitted, they protect the end of the barrel from damage. The obvious disadvantage is that extended chokes are more expensive and some people think they spoil the look of the gun.Extended chokes are known to come loose while shooting if only hand tightened but are just as easily tightened between stands. Which is best? That is a personal decision, I prefer extended chokes. Vic
