first shot gun what brand

Hi I have got my shotgun certificate but have yet to get a shotgun I was wondering what brand and what model people recomend for a first gun.

I am looking at geting a 12 bore semi auto.

I have being looking at hatsan escorts are they any good?

I dont want to sped to much money because it is bound to get scratched a few times.

You'll get alot of good and bad press on escorts

 

me... I love my escort... I had a biakal mp153 an it was ****. Kept jamming all the time, so I traded it in for the escort an haven't looked back

 

it fires everything I've put in it without missing a beat, also comes with 3 year warranty which is great.

my friend has a Hatsan and loves it,it recycles down to 24 grams no problems and hasn't jammed once,we mainly shoot together and he's pretty deadly with it too,he's left handed and they do one that ejects on the L/H side,although the carts leave so fast either side isn't a problem.I've read a few threads and it seems that the quality has improved on later models so consider a new one or virtually new.

My first shotty was Beretta semi A391. They hold their value well when it come to resale and it never missed a beat!

 

I now have a browning U/O for clays and a Beretta xtrema2 semi FAC for rough shooting.

Hmm there is a hatsan on sale here Kent Militia is selling it
