Ireland's Finest!
Just yesterday I was out checking my larsen trap and on my way there I spotted a young magpie perched on a tree she diddnt move as I walked by I taught no more about this and went about my business. On the back she was still there so I went in for a closer look and she only jumped further up the tree as apposed to flying away as I taught she would, On closer inspection I realised there was three other young magpies just sitting in the tree they diddnt seem fazed by me either so not wanting to miss out I ran home(2 mins away) and got the shotgun, When I returned the birds were still there, 10 mins later they were all lying beside me not a bad bit of vermin control. However I am wondering as anybody else expierenced such what I believe to be strange behaviour in magpies?
