pigglet
Dunno what your budget is but I've had a franchi fast for a couple of months now and it's a great bit of kit. I bought it for the same purpose as yourself, Basically to take the abuse of rough shooting to stop my other guns getting dinged, scraped and bashed. It's very light so easy to carry with or without a sling and cycles very fast, none of that distracting shlick/clunk business you get with some slower actions. It's based on the benelli action which is arguable the most robust semi available, being inertia driven instead of gas there are no gas ports or o rings to worry about. Just shoot it and boresnake it when you get home. Clean it once or twice a year when you can be bothered. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...hl=franchi+fast
