sako751sg
Had a call 2 weeks ago from a lad i have had the shooting off for about 3-4 years asking if there was any chance of starting to pay for the shooting. He has about 140 acres, mostly wood and the supply of roe coming in from woods round about his farm is never ending.I said that was not a problem and we agreed a sum yesterday so i went to pay him at 2 oclock today.Decided to take the dog a walk with the gun after seeing the lad,so after squaring up i walked to the usual valley hoping for a fox.The edge of the valley probably drops about 20 yards in a distance of about the same,so to see it all you have to go right to the fence. If you understand that, your way more intelligent than moi.Just when i got to the fence,i noticed 2 roe,one in full summer coat and half and half.Expecting 2 does,as i have already had 7 bucks there this season from 9 outings,i was surprised when the half and half stuck his head up revealing nice head wear. They had no idea i was there, but they were very jumpy and they were almost in rut mode with him chasing her now and again so i had to keep moving for a shot to present. After about 5 mins he turned broadside and at the shot he stood perfectly still, then backed up before collapsing.Very nice heed on him and a very big mature buck that i had never saw before. The pic shows the ditch he was at from the firing point. Also a couple of pics of Rab yesterday.Took him and the wee man fishing at the Don yesterday and it was absolutely scorching. They both love the fishing, and Rab sat in the water like that for over an hour.He will sit waiting for the rod to go or a fish to jump and when it does he get so excited.
