My first ever .177 air rifle. I have always shot .22 and love the short range knock down but the slightly longer range .177 had been burning away inside for some time.

Got the R10 and a Pellpacs packet of many different types of pellet to get the tightest group for the rifle. I shot 300 accu pells through it to bed the barrel in then started on the pellpacs.

I shot a few!

and got down to this, Logun Penetrators (in perfect still conditions);

So after checking the hold over/under up to 40m I ventured out to the permission with happy thoughts indeed and I was quite pleased in the end indeed. This was the first evening against live vermin.

Happy days and glad I spend the time punching paper indeed. I continue to paper punch now, I love it!

Goes to show that some barrels like different pellets. I have to say after poping the pellpac through the rifle I am happy with the current choice BUT!!!

I will source a hand full of the one's mentioned to try with a more extended test on paper. If I can get even better groups then it's good news indeed.

Cheers
