1 of 5 Posted December 9, 2005 Report Share Posted December 9, 2005 As a rule do not constantly take off and on a grub screw fitting one as it'll alter the zero each time (or may do). There's two ways a silencer can alter your zero. The weight of the thing on the end of the barrel and the squareness of it in relation to the bore (air pressure and eddies within the silencer pull and push the pellet about). 1/2 inch unf fitting silencers always go back on in the same place so can be removed and added at will for transportation. Grub screw fitting ones do not so should be left on. I've seen any number of barrels where the bore isn't central to the o/d. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
