Went out for a walk again on Thursday, determined to better than Tuesdays nights performance. Again i was delighted walking through the first field as i managed two rabbits. I continued on though as tonight i wanted crows. I tucked myself behind a hedgeline and waited and it wasnt long before the first came over and one shot, one kill. I was chuffed. Carried on here and managed another two but i noticed that they were crossing over the row i was on between two large trees about 200 yds down the field.

I wandered down and perched myself inside a bush. It was perfect position as i was able to see the crows coming in from the opposite corner of the field right towards me. While there for around 50mins i was able to bring down another 10. The grass was long and i was only able to recover seven. Not massive numbers but it still kept me entertained for a couple of hours and i was happy that i was actually hitting them tonight. Had a wander back to the field where i got a few rabbits on the tuesday and hit another one and a woodie that raced out of the bushes beside me. Also while stood there i saw a few crows travelling in pairs or singles back towards the trees. I hid behind a earth embankment and hit another two.

All in all a good night. Finshed with 15 crows, one rabbit, one woodie in about two hours of shooting. Ive added a couple of photos. Unable to take a photo of the whole lot as i tend to walk around alot shooting and therefore they are spread over a distance. I got to add that i really am enjoying shooting these crows and cannot get over what an intelligent bird they are. The smallest movement and your seen. It really is a challenge.

Thanks

Dan
