B2 - leather seals

Hi, stripped my newly acquired B2 to do a basic tune, took advice that I should soak leather seals in " neats foot oil " , having done that seals have swollen to the extent I cannot get them into the air chamber , do i ;

a) trim them to fit

:yes: leave them to dry on the assumption they will shrink enough to be put back without trimming

Also what do people reccomend I grease main spring with and chamber :good:

Many thanks

Depends how much time you have to spare waiting for the leather to shrink :yes:

I have just spun them down on a fine grit bench grinder, don't do too much to it, 'cos there ain't no such thing as a "putting on" grinder ( as my lad has found out many times :good: )

As for the grease: Try Abbey LT2 from Chambers: http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=2
