pegleg31
i'd start with the basic's straight away sit and stay using his food.you can also start retrieving with a used sock but just as fun.personally i'd get the basic's going first and let your dog be a pup first.i did'nt start proper training with my cocker until he was 7/8 mth's what pup have you bought? WGD
Take it easy, he's a baby. Think of it as conditioning rather than training and you'll be fine.

Our 14 week old ESS rags it like a terrier would too. He retrieves everything perfectly well (although a little reluctant to give up his retrieve) but I'm concerned he'll develop this habit of shaking anything with a 'loose end'!! Cheers, Ade
