TJ91
is the above gun proofed for steel shot? also, can bismuth and tungsten be used in any gun that isnt proofed for steel shot, like my old s/s?? the s/s matches the pressure proof on the bismuth cartridge box and is the correct chamber length, i would like to use it for ducks as i well practised with it..? mpk
I have a 1400 (semi auto) that is not proofed for steel shot and i think the 1300 is the pump version of the one i have , Dont know about the pressures etc but i definetly know that bismuth is realy expensive, You will be better off buying a gun that is steel proof . I bought a supernova pump today brand new and got it for £575. If you work out how much you will spend on bismuth compared to steel it does'nt seem to irrational  Edited June 25, 2010 by mpk
TJ91
thanks. I have thought about that but a family member passed away a few months back and i have been left a good stack of 2 3/4inch bismuth shells which will keep me going at the ducks through the coming season and probably most of next! I would like to stick with my gun for this season (if the bismuth doesnt damage the barrels) and get a new semi auto beginning of next year. I can see your point if you got them you may as well use them , Im sure someone on here could answer your question but if not maybe your local gun shop?
