There is a West Midland Police shoot this Sat, At Mid Wales SG.As its for charity anyone can enter

 

there are lots of prizes to be won you can enter singly or teams of 5. entry fee £30.00

All being well I shall be there - never been to Mid Wales so looking forward to it.

Been to Mid Wales today and had quite a good day -- never been before so was unsure what to expect - First thing I did was cuppa and nice piece of sponge with jam and fresh cream - very nice young lady there had made it and the two cakes didn't last long. - did get to lick empty bowl of cream

 

The shoot reminded me of long gone straw balers -- five pair per stand one stand on each trap layout - Did they look easy but scores said otherwise -- I managed a 77 after a dummy spitting session when I missed targets I thought I should have hit with my eyes shut - 82 was high gun then just as I was leaving Roy marker said a 90 was just in .

 

Took trap gun and did a 15DTL - hit all 15 but second barrelled three which pleased me as I normally miss all second barrels.

 

missed raffle prizes again

 

managed 7x10 on pool shoot - said to marker a trap shooter will win it - second bird was fast low ABT bird and there was one 10 in when I left.

 

All in all a good day out.

I only shot Mid Wales once and I agree, the targets were tougher than they looked
