The Big Red Fox
out training the dog yesterday and shot 1 hare, 1greylag, 3 pheasants and this snipe. Great fo rgiving the dog variety in the field, the shoot is treated like a field trial- walked up and sent for. Does anyone in particular target snipe or like me is it just something you would shoot given the opportunity oh and eat as well of course. Hubertus
we are not allowed to shoot them here (don't ask about the reason). What did you trained with the dog? Retrieving? We have at the moment a little rest. During the christmast days we dont do any shooting. I have to care about the family Best wishes, Alex

The Big Red Fox
What did you trained with the dog? Retrieving? Yes Alex The training of the dog is retrieving, The dogs are trained to a field trial standard for competition in the field. You have made me interested, why do you not shoot snipe? It's Rainin White Feathers
great during hard frosts walking through rush fields, or during deavy frost, our best bag for two of us was over 40 in two days. All retrieved by our lab, all eaten. Tasty little treats!

bsacadet
Hi Big Red Fox I still think its a jack I have been shooting for more than 30 years it just dont look like a common, may be the way the photo is taken dont take things the wrong way iam not haveing ago at you just dont want you shooting the wrong bird and getting in trouble already to many laws to stick to and the slightest thing wrong and they will be happy to take anyone to court. bsacadet
M ROBSON
It's definately not a Jack Snipe, it's face markings are the first give away, also it's beak is too long, too much white on wing bar and it's size compaired to the flask is too big. Mark.
