carrion crow
I put a post in about a bird I had seen, about the same size as a Jay but it had chestnut wings and a green back down to the tips of its tail, I got intouch with a friend and he said it could be an immature Roller, the adult has dark brown wings and electric blue tail but the immature is much darker and duller than the adult making the blue look green in flight, it is widespread in southern Europe but rare in Britain if it is a immature bird then it must have parents somewhere round here, I will keep you informed if I see it again, I asked in the village if anyone had lost a parrot no one had so I hope it is a Roller bird.
