Last time I bought a packet of cigs they were 20 Benson and Hedges king size for 70p, I used to smoke 20-30 a day.

now thats something I could pay 70p for

I have sprayed two half shell pigeon deeks mat black and painted the beaks black gloss, they bring them in, also use a crow call, but as some one said swap deeks for shot birds, nothing like the real thing.

6 hours this morning had 2 shots (scare shots) no pigeons nothing, not shot the fields for about a week cant belive it!

10 pigeons and 1 crow yesterday, for 7 hours Total 20373

Seen them flocking, but still only getting ones and twos dropping into the deeks.

I have been shooting a few years but never had a double magpie, set up yesterday afternoon got a few pigeons and I heard a magpie in the woods behind me I was just about to pull the trigger on a woody when I spotted a magpie not one but two comming over my right side, turned the gun round and bang bang got them both, I could not belive it I was really chuffed with myself first of many I hope.

Heard about it but never been in this situation, like Motty says you should be in for some big bags, good luck mate.

Went out Sat 4 hours 10 shots 1 yes 1 pigeon, tried it all got flask out, went for a pee changed deek paterns etc nothing worked like the song things can only get better

I will stick with a small amount of decoys and hope my luck changes, once again well done.

I am 58 been shooting for years and I still get a buzz just sitting and watching the wildlife, I get an even bigger buzz if I shoot a few birds

How many decoys did you use including shot birds? the pigeons round here spook if I use to many decoys I have been using 7-10 only, find they come close enough for a look but spook if to many out

When I go pigeon shooting I have to wear the same hat all the time, if I dont I seem to have realy bad days shoot, has anyone else got any superstitions?

Walking back to my car wed night the farmer asked how i had done, 12 in three hours i said, had a good three hours then he said, he has a good idea how many pigeons there are on his fields he has lived there all his life he would know if I was telling the truth or not, your farmers are not fools.
