Hide & Decoy Virgin

Never been pigeon shooting over decoys in my life but I've been reading some threads on here, looking in magazines, spoken to a few people and thought I'd like to give it a go.

 

Bought some decoys and a hide on Friday, spoke to our local keeper who told me where I could go.

 

Set my decoys up from a pattern I got off here, yesterday afternoon

 

Had 2 hrs of great fun, I can't believe how well they come in, I actually missed more than I hit

But I did get my first ever Left and Right

They where coming in 4 or 5 at a time at one poiint , my best shot of the day would have been the one with the safety catch on , or the one that came in and left when I was on the phone (I was warned that would happen)

 

I did learn some things as well, hide prep, pattern and "don't get excited"

I had 7 and a crow for 28 but I don't care , I was smiling like a cheshire cat all night.

I was just pleased that they came into my pattern on my first attempt.

 

I'm converted and going again in the week.

i go out about 4 times a week and only get a few ,but i love it nowt can come near to it i only wish id done it years ago, when i wanted to
