rigwallet
over the past few weeks me and my mate have shot a lot over various crops and have noticed that if the bouncers are still and just as pigeons are just about to drop in and a bit of wind picks up and they move the pigeons bolt. But if they are moving as the pigeons aproach theres no problems.? Has anyone noticed this themselves
TJ91
myne fell over last time i was out, a couple of pigeons that were crossing the field about 300yards infront turned and decoyed, i guess they thought it had landed to feed, worked well.... the main time they flare off with me is when they come up behind the bouncer and obviously get too close as it doesnt move, had this happen a few times! Mind tell you what did draw the pigeons in was a flapper it is hand operated and when i see pigeons from a distance and flapp it they seem to notice the movement and come far a look

TJ91
thats happened to me a lot but i never thought of it like that. Mind tell you what did draw the pigeons in was a flapper it is hand operated and when i see pigeons from a distance and flapp it they seem to notice the movement and come far a look My dad used to have an old green manual flapper he tied abit of fishing line to, it worked great when they werent decoying to well, especially on drillings as pigeons are always flapping to get to the front of roaming queues! Unfortunately it got lost when he moved house in a rush and the garage got turned upside down!! i have tried the age old way of throwing a pigeon out of the hide when i see them at the wrong side of the field but it never seems to work for me! i have considered putting 1 of them foam decoys on my little remote control plane and gliding it over my decoys and landing amongst the other decoys, but i have no way of making the wings flap!
