955i
Hi all, finally found time to go out and try and zero the rifle properly tonight with the new scope, but it was way off to the left and even with full adjustment it was still 1-1.5 foot from centre (at around 30m) . How can I get extra adjustment from the scope? There are two screws on top of the adjusters and someone suggested that I may be able to undo them and screw it back down without losing the adjustment I already have. Would this be right? Beardo
no that's just to reset the zero marker of the scope. you need to remount the scope carefully boresighting as you do it. the mounts are most likely slightly off centre - depends on what they are, but either tighten opposite bolt more, or reverse the mounts. (oh and reset the scope to it's middle points when you do)
kent
Take the scope out of the mounts and borrow a long bar of same diameter as tube, mount that and look at how it aligns along the barrel - i bet the mounts are out, other than that the reticule might not be moving correctly when you dial the windage dial
