TomV
Was out today on a freshly cut field of barley. Very few pigeons about. Had magnet, 1 bouncer and 14 deeks. Got 2 woodys for 4 shots. Whilst leaving the farm saw loads on a ploughed in field of rape!! Doh
M ROBSON
I watched about 300 woodies yesterday flight onto 2 ploughed barley stubbles. They sat there for about half an hour (probably picking grit) before flighting off to a nearby Oat stubble. There's a lot of feeding available for them now, this is when the knowledge of flightlines becomes important.
Flanker
Spent 2 hours looking over 100's acres and didn't even see that much! Hoping for better luck at weekend as the wheat is all being cut in next few days. Gun didn't make it out of the car!
ellebarto
Shot over Barley stubble in Cheshire at the weekend. More Crow's than woodies and I must have got my pattern horribly wrong because even those on the flight line over my hide darted off when they saw it! Like you, ploughed in rape 3 fields away (not my permission) was getting battered! Better luck this weekend!
