Home made Bi-Pod?

My idea came after looking for a front sight for a broken air gun i have been given. To put it simply i could not find one.

Dissapointed i ran through the yorkshire summer to the workshop/barn and found some sheet steel, i then bent and shaped the steel and made the front sight i had been looking for, it worked perfectly, it wasnt a eyesoare and i spraypainted it gloss black. and added it to the rifle.

My curious mind then wondered to the possibility of a home made Bi-pod, i have the simple concept of how it will work, it will have spring assisted folding legs, when closed they will fold forwards, when in use they will be down and held in place by the springs. To advance my design i may in the future take appart a camera bipod and use the legs, as this will enable me to have extending legs, which obviously will improve my design for now though they are fixed. at about 25cm.

it is also fairly light which is an adantage and is quite steady so far.

i will upload pictures soon ??? still waiting on springs and i need to make longer legs, and i need to spray it. tell me what you think of the idea, will up load pics as soon as possible ???

Sounds like an interesting project, its great fun making something yourself, even if mk VII needs another revision on the wotnot thingamy pin ! I have made loads of stuff over the years that would have been easier / cheaper to buy, but no where near as much fun. Looking forward to photos and update.
