hi all

just wondering if someone can help i have a fifteen month old lab who has

started whinging and barking when being taken out the minute i pick the lead up

she goes frantic no amount of coaxing can calm her down even in the car she will whine

and then bark till u let her out no problems on the way home sits/stays/heals with no problem

just this constant whinging and barking would appreciate any ideas on a cure

Need to take action before the behavour becomes embedded. sounds a bit like it is already come down on it Winging = instant correction and no quarter given get right ontop of it you might need to "set the dog up" in the car as getting the timing spot on is hard whe your driving and dog is in back by the time you correct the dog doesn't understand for what

thanks for that as well was thinking about borrowing a collar but dont like that idea

but something has to be done might give her a couple of nights off then try again

Hey collars are fine if used correctly, great for the timing but you realy need to study the How bit well first if you take that route. Whats this about couple of nights off thats gonna help lock in the behavour, don't do it
