Browning
We're off on our annual 'Jolly Boys Outing' to Dovey Valley Shooting Ground this month and wondered if there is anything else of interest to do in the area? Just not really up to shooting clays all day for three days....
DSPUK
Do you find the grounds gone downhill in last few years - starting to look neglected -- My mates are off this weekend but after the last one I said I would never go again - same targets year in year out - they changed two stands because we asked -- They sell nice chilli pickled onions though. Browning
Yes definitely not as good as it used to be, but if you push them they can still show very testing birds. This is our last year there, we are looking for another venue for next year. Edited September 3, 2010 by Browning
DSPUK
Griffin Lloyd might be worth looking at. Dave
KenG
We used to go once a month to Dovey Valley until they put their prices up to £28/100 for practise. £6 cheaper at Mid Wales and £8 at Fauxdegla. If you go, try and go round with Glyn whose been working there for years, lovely chap who will try his utmost to give you any target you fancy. Tell him that Ken from Pwllheli says hi.
