  1. Plastic wad Super Gems 9s at Mid Wales for £160 a 1000. Superb for skeet..
  2. Mine were "polycarbonate impact resistant lenses" in a snooker glasses frame. Work well, but a bit dark on cloudy days. Probably not as good as proper shooting glasses, but they do the job well.
  3. Should be there on Friday, showing Beretta how to hit them
  4. My renewal took 3 months because of a technicality. Not sure about a new licence though! What are you going to shoot, clays or game?

  5. Well I was there, ending up the lowest scoring AA shot, on the worst score they have ever seen a superb 61 Mind you, I only had one good leg, so I was probably the highest scoring one-legged shooter. So glad I shot birds only..
  6. Hi Hedd Wyn, are you from Trawsfynydd?

  7. Surely one of you could donate the use of his body for the day Get all the ladies bidding, and the one gay member too.. Anyone know who he is?
  8. Cheers Dave, always good to have ageist remarks Just wait until I win the Welsh Open next weekend
  9. Two friends of mine had a days lesson with Beretta, and boy oh boy what a difference it made to one of them He's even started beating me now on a regular basis.. Cheers Brian
  10. Glad to see that my fellow Welshman Hotshot (Dorian Evans) showed you English lot how to shoot A fantastic 112 for 2nd place
  11. Just heard that Welsh shooter John Kendall won today at Southern Counties on a brilliant 93 Good on you John
  12. Just like 100milesaway I use clear nail varnish on my butt My gun not my backside you dirty minded lot
  13. No, Foxbuster is from Llandeilo I know your from Pontypool as it says so under your name Have you shot at South Wales 2000 then, not very far for you to travel?
  14. Pontypool, Llandeilo Good to see the Welsh taking over the forum Talk to Beretta about lessons, he's probably one of the best instructors out there
  15. So many comedians  I think I've had two serious informative replies As to the others, too much of this me thinks
  16. I knew you lot would somehow change my innocent topic from camping to sheep sha****g.. If the weather's bad, my Renault Estate will make do as the bedroom :good:
  17. Thanks very much guys, especially Mickthemillar, some great advice there. I've already asked the ground where I'm shooting next weekend, and they said it was no problem so long as I had my own facilities As to the gun, it would be with me at night, kept closer than the Mrs usually is I knew that Mid Wales had no problem with campers, motorhomes, etc. staying on site. HDAV, I'm trying my best but my chances of making the team are slim, due to me not shooting enough at proper grounds. My nearest ground is a 170 mile round trip (next weekend will be double that).
  18. Have you ever camped at a shooting ground when shooting away from home over a weekend? As I'm struggling to pay all the costs involved in shooting International qualifiers, Beretta suggested I do what he used to do, buy a tent and stay at the grounds to save on accommodation costs. In your experience, do most grounds allow this?
  19. Has to be Fauxdegla John, the only decent ground in North Wales. The best discipline to start with is skeet as it incorporates most variations of targets, crossers, incomers, going way, and quartering. When you get confident, move on to sporting.
  20. Hmmm, never thought of wearing gloves when my hands get sweaty Must try my Mac Wets next time it's hot..
  21. Not this time Brian Just wait until that famous coach at Fauxdegla shows me how to shoot it properly, that first 100 straight is just on the horizon.
  22. Nigel Hodson shot a 100 straight today at Fauxdegla, at what can only be described as a 'sporting come skeet' shoot, as the wind was horrendous, with the low bird being either 3 feet off the ground or acting as a teal or looper I was so happy just to hit a 91 in those awful conditions
  23. I've already told you Brian, I won't have time to give you a lesson  No use begging..
  24. :hmm: Brian shooting skeet!!! Dont think so..
  25. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday for the two Welsh skeet qualifiers. I had promised Beretta a few lessons but doubt I'll have time, hope he isn't too disappointed Was going to go tomorrow as well, but had a better offer.
