busdennis
hi all my cocker has just gone 2 and overall is well trained, walks to heel off the lead, stops to the whistle, quarters and retrieves like a award wining lab all until she "does one" on a mad five minutes running wild in a circle like a puppy on speed with no stop button my question being should i be stopping this behaviour or just waiting for her to mature, when does a cocker mature? she is my 4th bitch and im thinking of having my first litter so i can take a puppy as she is such a good dog. would motherhood mature her or should i wait for another year or 2? she has had 2 seasons
Elby
Does she do it at random or just when you first take her out?
WGD
Just make sure she's not supposed to be working when she does it! Playing around and having a scatty, ears back, backside down, tail between the legs race in circles for a few minutes never hurt anyone.
