AdamW
Guy's, I am trying to find a suppler of the above bit of kit, searching the net is not working, because I don't know what it would be called? I need a box that will do volume levels on about 4 different zones of speakers (there will only be a max of 4 speakers per zone) Any ideas? Axe
Adam The best place for this sort of thing would be Maplin or RS Components. If you dont have access to RS I may be able to help. What exactly is the application and what equipment is being used.

AdamW
Axe, Its for a shop, the the back ground music, they want to be able to turn up or down different zones, I have no idea what they currently have? I might need to tell them they need to change the entire system so they can do this, then there is the licencing side of it as well! thats another story! Axe
Sounds to me that they need a profesional PA system with a four channel output. Rather than set the volume overall and adjust the individual channels as my link would provide, A 'proper' PA system would have four independent volume controls. SNAKEBITE
A simpler idea is a "splitter box". A bloke at work has done the same thing for his wifes shop. Basically off the top of my head, the outputs of the stereo go into this box. The 4 speakers then plug into this box and each has a level control. It was dead easy to fit and cost under £20! He got it from shop that sold DJ equipment and that sort of thing. I'll get him to dig out the details and pass them on.
