Batch
As the topic says, how long would you recommend keeping fresh pigeon breasts in the fridge for before they are no longer fit for consumption? I breasted a few on Monday and they have been in the fridge since, was supposed to bring them in to work for a colleague today but forgot them........numbnut! Would they be ok to eat before the end of this week Cheers
Beardo
as long as they've been kept refrigerated and wrapped i wouldn't worry up to a week or so.
Billy.
I'd usually say that if raw chicken has a week shelf life, add another 3-4 days (as raw chicken will have a processing time and time on a shelf before it's bought) and that's your limit. Nevertheless, it'll probably not do you much harm if it's longer than that - just smell it and you'll get an idea how fresh it is I'd always keep pigeon in the freezer. You'll get more than a year out of them. Edited September 15, 2010 by Billy.
