Feeder cradle

Don't know about some of you chaps but I'm sick of wooden legs on my feeders collapsing (big feeders hold over 100kg).

Also deer knock them over and when you try to stand them up the legs break.

So, I got some 205ltr metal drums, cut them in half, welded 4 legs to them and cut a hole on the bottom for the spring.

Now I can drop my plastic drum inside the metal one, no worries about broken legs and even if the deer do knock them over I can stand the drum back up.

put empty metal drum on floor. drive 3 half fence posts into ground using the barrel as template. once posts and in ground you cane then screw the drum to the posts. hole in bottom for spring and cage and fill up with feed. no animals going to take that down.

Phil.

Not much good if you have to take the posts out at the end of the year so they can plough the covers
