Is this show worth a visit? I do want to buy ammo for the rimmies and the .243, not sure I need anything for the shotguns unless someone is doing reloading gear.

I always like falconry displays etc, looks like they might have something in that line, and of course food stalls to browse, or should that be graze?

We went down on Saturday. The weather looked promising and walked around in my shirtsleeves, after making several purchases decided to offload the stuff in the car. It was lucky for us we did as it started spotting with rain and we managed to put raincoats on, a little later it started in earnest.

There are a few buildings on site and these had the specialist food and drink retailers in them, the usual clothing, footwear stands were in a tent village outside. We sat and watched the gundog display in the grandstand and that was quite good.

There was just one gun seller and had limited stock. We didn't bother going over to the clay shooting because of the rain.

It was well set out and organised, only the rain spoilt the day.

CLA or Midland are deffo the best to go to though.
