brno ou choke size

.729 is the nominal size for a 12 gauge, so .719 shows that the bores are 10 thou’ undersize. This means that any choke measurements taken using a brass choke guide will be wrong.

The only way to check the choking is to measure the constriction at the muzzles.

.709 will be Quarter

.699 will be half

.689 will be three quarters

.679 will be full

If those sizes are correct then these are very tight bores.

is there any star like markings stamped under the barrels.

or anything like.....1  11 111 1111

no mate all thats there is proof marks ,chamber size and .719" but thats on both barrels so i think thats got to be it but dont know what it is ie.3/4 1/2 ect

i think gemini's point is, that this measurement gives you the bore, then you need to go to a gun shop and get them to measure the choke's, and what ever measurement it is, for every 10 tho constriction over the bore it is 1/4 tighter (that made sense in my head anyway)

i hope thats right.
