great start to year

was out today looking over my permission few birds about but only had dog and shotgun no decoys ect,shot a few birds on flightlines to rape fields not on my permission,then went for drive about and found three fields teaming with birds,after a couple of knocks on local farms found the landowner and tried my luck,no problem he said( i was jumping) going to shoot it next weekend,then phone rings and its farm manager from local estate offering me 5 more fields just up road ..well by this time im grining like a cheshire cat..cracking start to year hope it continues.promised to drop off bottle of gin for farmer but i think ill stretch to two :devil::devil:

Remmy,

 

Well done Matey, you've cracked the best way to get quality Pigeon shooting, by waiting until they're causing a nuisance and finding out in person who farms that particular field.

 

A lot of posters on this site look to the Royal Mail to secure their Pigeon shooting, which is a pity, 'cos they're losing out to blokes like you who have the common sense to get out looking for them flighting birds...!!

yeah always the best approach face to face ,tried another farm yesterday as i heard he has kicked a syndicate off and doesnt want another on his land ,asked him if he had any rape i could cover for him .he says hes got rape but no birds are hitting it yet ,told me if i see birds hitting any of his fields to call in sounds promising ...
