Spaniel
Well it as been a long time coming, but this evening i managed to bag my 1st Teal. There were a few flying around but just to dam fast for me this evening out on the foreshore, but i had a mixture of 16 mallards and wigeon decoys out on a splash and the only ducks flying were Teal.... We also had a couple of shots at the geese but we also missed a couple of shots at the geese Looks like we are having another outing tomorrow evening so fingers cross might get another one,,,,, but what a lovely red sky as the sun settled down over wales this evening, our side at Frampton the sky was like a shade of purple....very nice
scolopax
Well done, I know alot of effort has gone into getting something into the bag. Next time a goose eh?
Spaniel
Fingers crossed, i am going out again tonight so you never know. But you are right i have been out a few times now and this was the first in the bag, but i guess thats the reason why i like wildfowling, if i was bagging up every time it would lose its appeal to me, but i really want my 1st goose
babka3487
Well done Spaniel, I got my 1st teal last week - absolutely chuffed. It came into the decoys lovely job, missed clean with the first shot and it sprung vertically upwards and I killed it with the second shot. If I hadn't been stuck in the mud I would have been jumping with joy!!

Spaniel
Well done mate! hopefully you'll have bagged another by the time you've returned and read this I never got a shot off tonight, but the Canadas were flying over us about 70 in total but all far to high, really good to see no one taking a shot at them tonight. one of the guys must have a 10 or 8 bore, well some sort of big side/side as when that goes off it just echoes across the marsh I have an associate evening over at Lydney on Thurs evening with a 11.5M tide, but i wont be taking my gun as i will have 2 new members with me, but looking forward to the weekend again
