Billy.
If your thread is 'dodgy' I'd go and get it chopped off and get a gunsmith to cut you a new one. Tap and die in my opinion is a recipe for disaster. CNC milling machines are used for a reason.

Billy.
the threads just need cleaning up with a die,to have the barrel cut and threadded then re proofed is an expence i cant afford You only need a reproof if you sell it. ...Well, I could easily open a can of worms saying that. What have you done to the thread to need them re cutting?! Edited October 21, 2010 by Billy.
richie223
the mod when screwed on to the barell is tight, not so tight that its totally knackered the threads, but takes a bit of winding to get on,i noticed that the mod threads ar rusty and it has slightly damaged the threads on the barell,so i need something to chase the threads. I think a wire brush will suffice.
