Batch
Well we had the first day of pheasant and partridge on my permission at the weekend and wouldn't you just believe the piddies had turned up in force as well!! Now I wouldn't normally mind, but there is naff all I can do about it as the freshly drilled fields are way too close to release pens and cover crops. It's just so typical that I struggle all summer and as soon as the shooting season starts, more pigeons than I have seen all year turn up at once, they were in their hundreds Still, we had a good first day, 68 pheasant and 10 partridge, so the guns left reasonably happy and I just left sobbing at the number of piddies I could of had if it wasn't game season
Cranfield
Thats "Pigeon Law", if they can find a way to drive you mad, they will. A few seasons ago we had quite a foggy day on our (informal) woodland Shoot that was saved by a few hundred pigeons milling around over the woods for most of the morning. They provided some very testing shooting and it gave the pheasants a rest.
