soreshoulder
right so seem to be getting a pretty good finish on my brothers side by side, that is until i put stock sheen and conditioner on, it seems to leave a patchy finish like knock some areas back and leave bits of darker finish, if used this product to good effect on other rifles? is there anything else i can use to just get a bit more of a satin finish? Marcus
You havent specified what type of finsih was first applied and what type the second was. Generally, dont mix a water based acrylic and solvent based products. Not sure if this is the problem, but it certainly wont help getting a good finish on wood. Similar to sealing wood with a cellulose or Shellac based sealers then trying to finish it with an oil. Complete waste of time and effort. The oil wont penatrate the sealer, sits on the top, and leaves a stickey mess. Which often leads to threads asking why their stock is left in a mess and generally blaming the 'make' of oil when its nothing to do with the oil, its all in the method of application. Hope you get it sorted
