  1. Hi HDAV i have been a few times to Crynant. Never really had a good experience there. It needs a massive injection of cash / manpower. Sporting County qualifiers there last year and they ran out of clays. Leon does his best but is run ragged everytime i have visited. traps empty, batteries flat, pinching clays / pick- ups to fill the sporting traps, the list goes on and on. I now choose not to shoot there, and would definately not entertain taking clients there. its a shame as the ground is otherwise nice and would make a great venue.
  2. Mid Wales, SW2000 and Ian Coleys. Also, got a superb local 'straw bailer' at Aberkenfig
  3. its ring~fenced so money is safe with these proposals. It wont stop them tinkering with the mechanics of it. in its current format, its the best we have had in addressing the pensions shortfall. i dont think we will ever have compulsory pensions.
  4. i know what you mean. I go there once or twice a month for business lunches etc. Food seems nice enough, wine list ok, i think they are open to public now, times must be hard
  5. lots of negative reporting in general on this story today. its not possible for the government to raise any revenue via this route. it should take pressure off the public purse in years to come.
  6. As a Financial Services 'Lifer' I found this thread quite interesting to read. I am left mainly with a feeling of dispair............the pensions crisis is alive and well in the UK
  7. Two of my local shoots charge £10 for 60 clays. Some other grounds I pay £30 for 100.
  8. The liquidation will end the life of the company, all assets will be sold for the benefit of the creditors. Admnistration would have been better as it may have offered hope in turning the company around. In this case it seems in face of cylical trading, they could not justify administration. Either way, any unsecured creditors should not hold their breath, they are not at the front of the que. They wll be kept informed by the liquidator, most probably ending with a letter saying no funds left. Hope this helps
  9. Ive had my Meindl boots 18 months now. Very pleased with them, worn all year round. They are superb.
  10. I wish you all the best with your attempt to give up. I last had a smoke on 11/03/2011 - smoke free since, a week on patches then toughed it out It was not my first attempt It is possible You will feel better Its not as hard as you think
  11. Im hoping to go again this year, I enjoyed last years. Not sure which day yet. Marcus
  12. Hi Guys Until recently my BB Desktop worked find when using to sync phone etc. Just recently when I load up the BB Desktop the words are displayed as small boxes (ie no words to be read only the boxes) I have done some research, followed advice by un-installing then installing again but it still doesnt fix the issue. I have just uninstalled it again and thought I would ask the good people of Pigeon Watch if they have come across this and what the solution may be. As an aside, I have started to get BB emails to my inbox on main computer and its all in spanish...........HELP
  13. Thanks for all the replies. Yes the ensuite is cleaned at least once a week. Window trickle vent open always, window locked 'open' if you know what I mean to aid air flow. Also have an extractor in there, but this isnt used much if Im honest. I will give the Grot Buster a go first, see what it does. The shower does get used alot, min 2 sometimes 4 times a day depending on who's home etc so its constantly wet in there which I expect is the problem. Its just a pet hate of mine, I like it clean with no mold.
  14. I seem to be forever replacing the sealer around the shower base despite buying the expensive stuff out of B&Q. It always ends up going moldy after 6/8 months or so. Are there any bathroom fitters / tilers on here that can recommend a good one to use and where it can be bought. Thanks
  15. I'll keep it in mind, see how many brownie points I have in the bag
  16. Not to far away then. May tag along with you one day.
  17. What about Gripe Water - that'll make you burp
  18. HDAV - where is St Dials? sounds like you havd a good day out. I was up at Treetops Sat, very busy as usual and very cold.
  19. Haha I knew it was something like that I couldnt remember exactly. Was out today putting it into practice, will stick with it now until its second nature. Cheers
  20. I have had a few lessons locally on the clays over the last year and wanted to find a different coach for no other reason other than to get another perspective on my shooting. After reading a few threads on here I decided to have a trip down to Wylye to see Coach, see if he could polish a t..d. It was a bit of a trek for me, 200 miles round trip, but I have to say it was worth the effort. All very relaxed, had me shoot a few targets to ***** where I was, style/tecnique etc. Then started to bring some stucture and shape to my shooting. I wont bore you with all the detail, but will say I am now shooting with the gun out of the shoulder (move, mount, shoot)It was a very strange feeling at first, felt uncomfortable as I have been shooting 'gun up' but by the end of the session it started to come together. I was even taking clays that I would normally struggle to hit. I was genuinley surprised :o So, a big thanks to Coach off here - well worth a visit . I really enjoyed the day, I now have a good platform with which to practice and am looking forward to the next League shoot. So much so I am off out in the morning to practice what I learnt. I will be back!
  21. MM - I think in your case little can be done now - but to be sure get advice. The only way to beat the current system is to plan in advance. It is possible to ring fence assets / money from care fees. A good solictor and Financial Planner should be able to help in most cases.
  22. Chamber and length. Dont use carts that are longer than your gun was made for. It should say on your barrels, and the length of cart will be on the box etc Im sure someone will be along to give you a more precise explanation.
  23. Hi Guys I regularly use CCleaner on my computer. Im still not convinced it is in tip top working order so I recently ran this Rgeistry Booster from UniBlue. It found loads of errors which has got me thinking. Maybe it does something different to the CCleaner? Could someone with good computer knowledge give me the gen as the free version only fixes 15 issues, but I have somewhere nearer 900 to fix and want to know if its worth buying. Thanks
  24. Great pics I really like No 11, is that the natural product or has it been 'tweeked'? Also like No 13
