Guest cookoff013
when i go on a skeet bender, or a good 200+ day, i like to use these shells. they offer me something that i like. they are cheap (like a budgie) i can almost shoot twice asmuch. they were £110 per k (i originally bought some for £90 a thousond when they first came out) now the price is near to £130 per k. now they jumped up 30% in a year? thats just silly. these were a nice cheap shell for just chomping through the volume. i`ve gone through more than 500 in an afternoon. £20 more and i can shoot the english sporter in lead ! why the price hike? 30% thats what i dont understand. anyone else use these? shaun4860
Its like diesel used to be years ago.... you had petrol which was really popular and diesel which wasnt, so diesel was always a LOT cheaper, diesel cars became more refined and popular as more people used them, They who must be obeyed (Govt.) saw this and put the tax on diesel up more and more... Cartridge makers are simply doing the same.....the more people use them in theory they should become cheaper but they wont let profit dwindle like that, I tried steel before we changed to a fibre only policy, found them to be a good cartridge... shaun
Guest cookoff013
the fibre issue is the biggest pain in the ahrsse ever. steel is a great clay cartridge. cheap and fun.
JonD
I love steel for skeet and have prob bought 7-8000 this year and the price is always around the £128 mark. I think the price rise is partly due to the hulls, wads etc being imported and demand. I'm totally against a lead ban and use lead for all sporting shoots but that's only about 10% of my shooting and use Hull Pro Fibre, used to use Intercomp HV plas 9's for skeet but for every thou of steel i get 10 practice rounds from the savings Jon.
