thunderbolts

just been having a play about with some .22 thunderbolts i received today

 

i was curious as to what they were they like so bought a box

 

my hw 80 seemed to like them but not the target/pellet catcher lol

 

they really do hit with some force

 

not much movement though in pellet shape after hitting steel plate lol

 

the pellet pictured is a used one lol

 

shots were fired standing from about 15-20 yards

 

rifle doing about 12.8ftllb...... suprised to find out yesterday at tonys camo on his crono

 

original rifle was a .177 but changed barrel to a .22 a while ago

 

.177 will have to be getting fitted back on to bring it down a bit lol

 

anyway heres some pics as to what these thunderbolts do

I take it these was the New 13.00 Grain in .22 - Domed or Coned ?

 

Coned was first made but proved impossible in long term production

 

But Domed are better I have Found - In Testing

 

Re over 12FP - it's a Fire Arm - Now

 

Boards are Monitored and they can trace you

 

Offence is without Challange if Gun Exceeds Sub 12FP Rule you have commited Fire Arms Offence

 

And due for a Five Year Holiday or Gun Destruction :look:

Thunderbolts do hit home with some force.... I shot one through the Tompson's guide and there was no visible distortion. :o

i didnt realise it was slightly over till i put it through crono

 

the .177 barrel will be going back on and am looking for it to be tuned
