Nildes
I'm looking for rough shooting, & stalking in these three counties. I'm willing to pay a modest fee to join an established syndicate or, if there's any interest, to join up with other like-minded shooters to form one. Nildes
Of course I'd be happy to share something providing everbody pays their own share and proves themselves to be safe to be around. I've heard of a 20 acre wood but at £1K per annum its a bit steep even between three or four! Hopefully something bigger and cheaper will turn up :(
flash
1k for 20 acres, this guy musttake you for an idiot. probably thinks you are buying the land. the area i live in is full of golf courses, ill find a number for one of them and pm it to you. flash Edited February 9, 2006 by flash
flash
nildes and maori haz, just found this add and thought we may be able to persuade him into allowing us to buy the rights or somethinghere the website name is a bit weird but it looks legit flash
Dunkield
I wish you guys all the luck, but in reality in our neck of the country you will have to pay big bucks to get what you are after. The next problem I found was, is that you then need to divide that down to make it affordable, which means more people wanting their piece of the action which in turn puts your land under immense pressure. I contacted all the land agents I could find a while back to find stalking and the response was 'you and a thousand other shooters' when I mentioned we were after shooting rights.. Don't let me put you off and give it a good go, it doesn't mean it is impossible. See what you can come up with, as Flash has said you have Wentworth, Sunningdale & Sunninghill Golf Courses and hundreds more besides those. Let us know how you get on... flash
i see what you meen stuart p, but aswell as the golf courses i have a good friend of my sisters that has much land he is willing to let us shoot as he has many rabbits, but i havent been able to contact him yet, i would think that he would allow a syndicate to use it. flash
Nildes
The trouble with Golf Course is Golfers. Like Rabbits, they're at it from Dawn to Dusk. Makes it hard to get permission or much of a window to shoot in :(

Sorry! Yes, I did see the link & I'll give the guy a ring in a week or so and see if the offer is still current. It could be good, a lot depends on how many other people use the place.
