s6boy
Hi i know this is in the wrong place but wanted a quick bit of help on selling my gun...... Have got the gun for sale on here and got this message today, does anyone know if this is right Thanx guys Hi, I'm planning on buying this for my club and just need to make sure that you are ok with the procedure. In case you aren't aware, it's still possible for a club to operate without a firearm certificate, just a Home Office Exemption. That means that the authority to possess would be a letter from the club secretary, giving me permission to collect the rifle on behalf of the club. If you aren't comfortable with that, I could arrange for a dealer to hold it for me (he's in Brentwood). If you want to discuss anything, I'm on ***********

b682
The NSRA have an excemption for club officers for "gallery guns" .22LR but I am not sure how it works as the Club also has an FAC. Check with the Police or NSRA.
baz0159
All rfd's are on the police register so check first,so long as they are on it then send it to their address, make sure the funds are cleared first, face to face is best so you know who you are dealing with.if he hasn't got a fac then he will have to get some one with one and a slot for it to pick it up and keep until he gets his,IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SELL TO AN AUTHORISED FAC HOLDER. don't send it to an address that he provides unless you check it out first. don't take paypal as payment,(there is a con with paypal) cash or bank transfer I was nearly conned out of my £400 air rifle with a scam on this site so be careful. regards Rob. the running man
good and sound advice from the above posts. i will add that i as a club oficial can carry guns or ammo for the club without the club fac,whi does seem farcical. send it dealer to dealer mate,u are then covered, and take payment first.
