Will Beasley
Here is a picture of my new "spinner".and a picture of a decoy.. im not sure what the strings and springs are for, but ill be glad to know. Spinner And here are some other pictures of some hunts i had last year. Some hunts PS, im the "fat dude" The strings and the spring things you need to cut off and throw away, then just slot the wings into the body of the pigeon. Those plastic pigeons are sold as "flapping pigeons" thats what the spring and nylon string things are for. However if you plan to mount them on your spinner there's no need for the strings and spring anymore. The problem you may encounter is actually fixing those plastic decoys to your sprinner. On our decoys we use a plate with a piece of tubing and a screw to secureley hold the pigeons on the arms....however it looks like you dont have that option. The cradles on the ends of the arms are obviously for dead birds, but I think you might have some difficulty attaching the plastic decoys onto them arms. Looks like you need to go out into the garage and manufacture some kind of fixing system. Good luck!
Kikkan
Yeh, i think i need to find some sort of way to secure the decoys to the spinner. My guess is that ill try some fishing-line. (fast, easy and when i get a real bird, i can cut it of fast and easy) I think it was maybe you that i had a chat with over the phone last friday? i asked about shiping to Norway and stuff? I will order the flapper from Shootwarehouse soon.. im just waiting for some cash If you have any advise on pigeon hunting movies, give me a message here, and ill order that too. Cheers /Christian

nbd1
Hey Christian, I thought it was only the beer that was expensive in Norway but that web site is pricey compared to the UK Neil
sutty
Kikkan. I had two of the same decoys and i adapted them to fit a whirly by super gluing a piece of rubber tube to the underside of the deeks belly. That way they just pushed on when i set them up and came off easy when i wanted to mount a real bird. You may need to cut a piece out of the deeks underside and glue the tube on the inside of the "chest" to enable it to sit correctly on the cradle, (if that makes sense) I also put a small crocodile clip on either end of the wing supports to hold the plastic wings, as i found that after some ussage the slot in the bird wore and they kept slipping out, the clips stop this and you can use them on real birds. Hope this helps. Regards Sutty Ps Wills right, the springs etc can be binned.
