Davy Holt
Hiya, I headed back out tonight to try and get the dog fox I seen last night and right on cue I picked out a pair of eyes heading toward me around 300 yrds out. I got my self set up and ready for the shot only to have the light breeze change making the fox directly downwind of me and he scarperd :( About an hour later I picked up a pair of eye heading down the other side of the field, so again I got ready and started tracking it through the scope as it crossed over the snow. I tried a couple of squeaks but it was not for stopping, as it left the snow patch I put the lamp on it and was greeted with 2 pairs of eyes moving towards each other. I flicked the lamp on again and they were almost next to each other so I quickly lined up on one pair and let of a shot, the solid thud was a very welcoming sound but it was also enough to send the other fox scarpering. chest shot @ 220yrds with .222 and a 50 grain soft point
