dalesman
Hello all, this is my first post on pigeon watch and any help would be great, Ive been shooting rabbits for years but only recently applied for my firearms certificate, ive had it just coming up a year now and im using a CZ 452 .22 bolt action. ive currently got written permission to shoot on a smallish family owned area of land which i used as part of my application for my firearm certificate. But im hopeing to start shooting on other land, which ive been told id be welcome to go and shoot anytime. My question is do i need written permission to shoot on these extra areas? forexample can i be given verbal permission on an aera and not inform the police? Or do i need to inform the police in writing of every different permission i have? If so would i write the letter myself or do i have to trouble the farmer, friend or landowner etc etc to do it for me? any help would be appriciated

Oxon88
it all depends on what your licence says. if it says "land deemed suitable by the chief of police" then you need to inform the police so they can check the land. usually a first fac will require you to notify police if your shooting on a new permission. getting a written permission will be a good idea
