Tim Kelly
Twice now, a year apart, my Atkinson blne has fired the right barrel when I've closed the gun. I'm always very cautious about bringing the stock up to the barrels to close the gun and both times the hole in the mud has been in a safe place, but it's clearly an issue as it's now happened twice. Once could have been a freak bit of dirt or something. I know I'll have to take it into the gunsmiths, but does anyone have any ideas what usually causes this problem? Kes
Had a side by side 16 bore which did this. Its down to wear on the trigger sear, such that the vibration of closing it releases the trigger. Needs rectifying - one day you will forget and there'll be something in the way your foot, a dog. Its obvious you are concered so I'd take it in before U use it again.
