Drummer
Funnily enough, I was reading an article in this months Sporting Shooter about a Lincolnshire syndicate shoot being hounded by HMRC for VAT, because in their eyes the shoot was a business and therefore eligible to pay VAT. HMRC eventually gave up and didn't pursue, but someone has obviously planted the seed and given the current financial climate I suspect that HMRC will be looking at any possibility to raise revenue and if we play into their hands this will be yet another expense on our sport which is costly enough as it is. I would never advocate breaking the law, but lets not make it easy for them to come up with a "Game Tax"
The Duncan
They'll be taxing the eggs peoples back yard chickens produce next AS if we don't stump up enough tax already from every conceivable angle! Duncan
