northeastshooter
thinking about getting a laser for night shooting just got a tracer lamp with a red filter so thinking a green laser would be better or would red work just the same with the filter
Cantastic
Green laser is just a myth in my eyes for night shoot. i went out and bought the ND3 laser designator and with a pair of illuminated rets its not bad upto 50 yds moon lit but TBH if i held back a couple months i could have bought a gen 1/2 scope attachment. the options yours if ya like carrying all the lamp gear, but if your serious about night shoot id invest in a half decent gen 1 scope. Blunderbust
Red laser is better mate, both for target aquisition and for your eye relief during night shooting. Cheers, Jimmy
northeastshooter
thanks but would it stand out enuf with the red filter on my lamp?
Spara Dritto
you will see it mate the red lamp is a glow and the dot is very obvious! but try a different colour if its worrying you, its not worth spending the cash and going wrong! Spanishfly
The human eye is most sensitive to green light - this is why us astronomers always use green lasers to point at the sky. Don´t know about rabbits.
