  1. Not worth messing about - sell it and buy a .177.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemNext&item=260799619311&autorefresh=true Bought this CREE 6P LED lamp with fittings and remote switch for 22 pounds delivered. Lamp is small, heavy, well made, fittings are steel and robust. I replaced the LED with a red LED, compatible parts are common.

    Pellets

My 97K is not at all pellet fussy - puts them all where I point it.
  4. Can´t say I have yet seen a hare here in Spain, but I reckon my 18 ft/lbs .25 would take them out OK. Sure packs a wallop.
  5. Those fps values are almost exactly what Gamo quote for their Spanish spec (18 ft/lbs) rifles. Something wrong here.
  6. All together - AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
  7. I bought a HW97K - because I could get what I wanted from a Spanish dealer - 18 ft/lbs spec and .25. Air Arms appear to be .22 or .177 only and are VERY much more expensive.
  8. One piece mounts are a better engineering solution - the contact area between the mount and dovetail is much larger than with a two piece, and there is a much smaller bending moment exerted at the joint. I currently have a Hawke one piece (not the dearest or cheapest) with an arrestor pin on my HW97K - it is absolutely rock solid.
  9. I have one of each - don´t actually find any noticeable difference in accuracy.
  10. I used a carpenter´s clamp that was laying about.
  11. Right on - which is why I like Crow Magnums from my 97K in .25 - Spanish spec. Really pack a wallop.
  12. Care to post an authoritative reference for that? I ask because I think it is incorrect.
  13. Bought my Supersport fron The Gun Room in Ivybridge.
  14. My Spanish spec (18 ft/lbs) 97K in .25 calibre does the job nicely. I am a cat lover, I own a beautiful Siamese - BUT we do have a HUGE problem with ferals in my part of the world, in common with many mediterranean countries; they truly are a verminous plague. They cause an awful mess in searching for food, and leave a nasty mess behind. They attack domestic pet cats - my neighbor´s pet cat was blinded in one eye when attacked by one of these nuisances. And they predate on local widlife - worldwide there are a number of species now extinct solely due to the predation of feral cats. And some people still think they are doing them a favour by feeding these pests !! The only solution is to KILL them - neutering and returning to the wild does not stop any of the above problems. There have been programmes of poisoning, but I regard that as a cruel method - the only method that works is to blow their brains out. And can I tell a feral from a pet cat? - instantly, as it happens. They look and move quite differently. On another forum I was BANNED by the Thought Police for condoning the shooting of feral cats - I trust nothing so half-witted will occur here.
