Tim Kelly
I fancy having a go at loading some 3 and 3 1/2" wildfowling pills as they are so expensive to buy. Ideally hevi shot, or one of the other alternative shot types. I know nothing really about it, and it's only going to be a sideline to the hobby, so don't want to spend a fortune. Is there a one stop shop I can get everything I need with all the loading info I need? Is there a website that gives clear unambiguous directions on what to do and how? How do you guys know what pressures you are generating with your home loads?
John_R
Hi Tim, If you do get started on this I would be happy to share some of the costs in buying materials. Hope all is well! John
Tim Kelly
No worries John. How's the 243 reloading going?
John_R
I want to buy some 87g bullets, but my FAC is with the Police at the moment for an amendment and it is taking longer than I thought. So, in the meantime I have been trying to clear a bit of bench space for the kit. I made a few dummy rounds with the random bullets I got in the kit, and they all came out with the correct dimensions etc. In any case I have been stuck indoors since the hernia op, hoping to drive for the first time later today! Guest cookoff013
nice shot. its slightly harder than lead (2 brindel harder) ie it is as soft as lead. its as heavy as lead, and can be loaded with fibre, and plaswads. i think it is the future. it will be more expensive than steel shells but you wont have to buy special powders, special wads, you wont have to adjust your shooting close birds only. cook. i`m trying to get some.
